Today’s blog post will complete the two-part luscious lip series you started last week. This time, we are focusing on adding color to your silky smooth lips. I have included my top 6 lipsticks along with my favorite lip definer pencil. Enjoy!
IT Cosmetics Blurred Lines™ Smooth-Fill Lipstick
This anti-aging lipstick erases the appearance of fine lines, plumps your lips and evens out the appearance of your lip tone all while adding color. I think this is the silkiest lipstick I’ve ever tried and it feels amazing on my lips. The only downside is it doesn’t last as long as other lipsticks and it will need to be reapplied often.
BOBBI BROWN Nourishing Lip Color
Another brand that I trust is BOBBI BROWN because the formula conditions lips instantly and over time reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles for smooth, supple lips. When I use this product, it went on creamy and I loved the way it made my lips look and feel. The best part is – the color lasted!
DIOR ‘Addict’ Hydra-Gel Core Mirror Shine Lipstick
This formula is super shiny and almost looks like it could be a gloss. Use it as a topcoat, adding an extra dose of shine and color to your lips with unbelievable comfort.
I love this lipstick and last summer made it my go-to lip product. The hydra-gel core is composed of three expert oils among the shiniest used in cosmetics. The comfort oil moisturizes lips and the shield oil ensures color will adhere and last.
Color Design is silky-soft and a full-coverage formula that delivers natural, long-lasting color. This lipstick goes on easily and evenly while oil-absorbing properties from Mica keeps the skin comfortable and your lip color true.

ROUGE DOUBLE INTENSITÉ ULTRA WEAR LIP COLOR
Glorious long-lasting color pairs with high-shine gloss to deliver full-coverage that lasts all day.
I went to the Chanel counter at Nordstrom and was approached by this very sweet woman, Maria Smedberg and we hit it off right away because, like me, she is super passionate about making women feel beautiful. I was asking her if she had any lip products that would be great for women ages 35 and older. You know, a product that won’t show lines and will give a youthful, hydrated look. Without hesitation, she pointed me to Rouge Double Intensité because of its long-lasting color and high-shine gloss that lasts all day. Wait, what? Moisturizing AND lasts all day? Shut the front door!
I was slightly skeptical so I tried it out and what do you know, she was right! It did last ALL DAY. My lips didn’t look or feel dry – they looked great! The only downfall to this product was the price tag at $37 🙁 If you’re looking to treat yourself like I was, this might be the product to try next! Another benefit to me testing the product is now I can recommend it to all my brides and bridal parties.
AVEDA Nourish-Mint™ Smoothing Lip Color
I originally wanted to keep this list to five lipsticks, but I couldn’t possibly leave this one out because I use it all the time and I love the way it looks and feels. Nourish-Mint Smoothing Lip Color is a creamy, full coverage lip color with plant waxes and fruit butters. It moisturizes, plumps and smoothes the appearance of fine lines while also providing full coverage with a satin finish. I do recommend reapplying this product often to get the most out of the color.
AVEDA Nourish-Mint™ Lip Definer
Lastly, I have included a wonderful colorless pencil that smoothes and defines lips with plant waxes to help extend color wear and prevent all shades of lip color from feathering. You can use this pencil as a prep for your lips before lipstick or you can wear it alone. Another bonus to this product is it contains organic peppermint, vanilla and ginger. YUM!
