Coffee: Where Life Begins

Wake up. Workout (maybe). Shower. Get the kids ready for school. Work. Make dinner. Unpack and repack book bags and lunches. Sleep. Repeat. Oh, and don’t forget the coffee.

Does anyone else’s schedule sound like this? As my family and I approach move-in day into our new home, it seems like I haven’t had any time to focus on my favorite hobby besides family time – my blog! If anyone has any tips on how to manage it all, I’m listening! In the meantime, let me tell you about the exciting and busy times I’ve had recently.

As all moms can relate to, your kids take precedence over everything and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Now is the time to start making summer plans. Which camps will they attend? Should I let my oldest do a sleep away camp this year? And by the time I’ve figured out their schedules, my youngest is walking, talking, reading along with me during story time and life just keeps on going! It’s an amazing whirlwind of events, not to mention keeping up with working, cleaning the house and giving our sweet Golden Retriever, Holly, enough lovin.’

My second job recently, besides doing hair and makeup for my awesome clients, is designing our home with my incredibly talented friend, Rachelle Lazaro. Do I go with the classic, white subway tiles in the kitchen that I love in our current home or do I choose a unique blend of gray tiles to add definition to the backsplash? Which color paint would look best on the walls? Should I also do an accent wall? While it seems like the style questions never stop, I am truly grateful to have the opportunity to make these decisions when it comes to our dream home. The best part is, our boys get to experience it all with Justin and I. We love watching them ride their four-wheelers around the property and learn how to build something with whatever they find in the woods.

All this being said, I don’t want my loyal followers to think I’ve forgotten about them! I’ve been keeping notes on video and blog topics I will be doing after our life settles a bit. I can’t wait to get back into making videos, sharing my hair and makeup tips and posting to the blog.
